I have fond memories of spending weekends on my grand-father's farm out on Evan's Road where my dad's family grew up. My grandfather had forty acres where he raised a delicious variety of apples and milked cows. Little did I know I would again return to the valley.

But on the bright side, not everything that’s happening in this Lower Valley is negative. Lives of old and young alike are being positively impacted through the work of a few local groups. Last year alone, over 60 new individuals came in contact with this life-changing force. At the center of this rejuvenation have been the Lighthouse Church of Wapato, WA and The Intersection Church of Union Gap, WA.
People from all walks of life are coming together and acknowledging that we all have higher missions in life than what we are currently fulfilling. This fresh renewal of passion and enthusiasm is spreading like wildfire across the entire Yakima Valley. One by one, individuals are reaching out and encouraging others to share in this life-giving experience. Because that's the thing about positive experiences – we all want to share them with others.
All of us at the Lighthouse and Intersection churches urge you to join in and find out just how great life can be. Come and witness for yourself the power that has already changed the lives of so many.
Caleb and Laurin Flowers serve as Youth Directors at The Lighthouse Church in Wapato. They and others have a true burden for the young people of the Yakima Valley. Laurin was born in Yakima and returned there to be a support ministry after having their first child. She expressed wanting her daughter to know the place where she grew up.

These are awesome! More than stories they are real testimonies. I will share them with men I know in need of the same deliverance and restoration that these men tell of in their lives. Praise God

This is so exciting to hear what God is doing in the lives of these people in Wapato. He is a life changer and knowing Caleb and Laurin are allowing God to use them in this ministry is very pleasing to me as a parent.

Some say that they will always be addicts or 'reformed' addicts, but those that believe it are only those who have not shared the same life changing experience these people have.
This new birth experience is available to everyone. A person doesn't have to be a slave to drugs, alcohol or other destructive things to desire a change in their life. The homemaker, stockbroker, plumber or president all need a meaning for living. As they said in the video, the answer is Jesus Christ who promises not only a life with abundant joy, peace and purpose, but also eternal life. It's what they found, and is an absolute cause for celebration. How exciting that their lives are a testament to the fact - it can be done. There's HOPE FOR ALL. Not only are they delivered of the addictions of their past, they are FREE INDEED! ...FREE of the slavery of addiction.,,FREE to learn a new way of living...FREE to live without shame or fear... FREE to celebrate a life full of promise. Wow! |

It is good to see that God is still working all the way to Washington.
Also, it is great to here that Cabel and Laurin is being used by God in such a mighty way to help young people find the truth. |
