Two Zillah High School tennis players will compete in the state championships in Yakima on May 29 and 30, following SCAC 1A District play.
Cody Dunbar and Troy Dunbar will both be playing at the state level tournament, which will be held at the Yakima Tennis Club.
ZHS tennis coach Betsy Dunbar said this is Cody’s third trip to state.
He placed third in state as a freshman, and made it into the quarter finals as a junior, last year.
She said his goal for this year is to place at the state level again.
Troy, a freshman, “played the match of his life” during district play to make into the state tournament, she said.
Both Troy and Cody will be playing on the first day of the tournament, Dunbar said.
