Zillah City officials had the official ribbon cutting ceremony to dedicate the West First Avenue street improvement project on Thursday, Sept. 24. The $808,400 project included $483,400 from the State Transportation Improvement Board, $162,500 from Yakima County SIED grant, $112,500 from the City of Zillah through a Yakima County SIED loan, and $50,000 from project business partners Zillah Lakes Development, Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, Zillah Gateway, and Vintage Valley Medical Center.
