James J. Peter Jr. (26) of Parker died on May 18, 2008 on the Columbia River in Skamania County. He was born in Toppenish on October 21, 1981 to James and Rita (Vielle) Peter Sr. He was raised and graduated from Wapato High School. He was presently working for King Mountain in White Swan. He is survived by his companion, Shelly of Wapato; his mother, Rita Peter of Wapato; one child, Jaliza Peter of Wapato; four brothers, Isaac Vielle, Easton Yallup, Clifton Peter, James Joseph Peter III all of Wapato; three sisters, Gale Peter of Seattle, Angeline Yallup of Wapato, and Kathleen Yallup of Yakima. Dressing services will be at the Toppenish Longhouse on Tuesday May 20, 2008 at 10AM. Overnight services will be Tuesday evening with daybreak services at Columcus Cemetery in White Swan. Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
