Local Silgan workers remain on strike this week. Workers began striking two weeks ago over health care premiums and other benefits.
According to Toppenish police, a Silgan striker was arrested on Friday, May 14 after threatening to beat up a security office at the Toppenish plant on East Third Avenue.
Toppenish police said the man was cited and released.
His arrest came several hours before an afternoon rally on Friday where a large group of workers gathered to rally for a contract.
