The City of Granger Parks and Recreation Department will host the 13th Annual Dino-N-A-Day on Saturday, June 5, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Hisey “Dinosaur” Park, at 505 Main St.
Granger’s 28th dinosaur will be a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
The Tyrannosaurus Rex measured approximately 42 feet long, up to 13 feet tall at the hips, and weighed approximately 8 tons.
This big dino also had a mouthful of 8-inch long teeth with saw-like edges.
Granger’s new addition will be approximately 25 feet in length and stand 12 feet high.
Gloves will be provided for anyone wishing to participate in applying the cement to the wire frame structure.
