Members of the 12th U.S. Infantry Unit of the Washington State Civic War Association presented a Civil War re-enactment of a small gun battle between Yankee and Rebel soldiers on Saturday, June 12 at Fort Simcoe State Park. The re-enactment was part of the annual Fort Simcoe Military Days celebration on Saturday and Sunday.  The event also included a special flag raising ceremony on Saturday along with two-days of pre-Civil War and Civil War encampment presentations.
