I have fond memories of spending weekends on my grand-father's farm out on Evan's Road where my dad's family grew up. My grandfather had forty acres where he raised a delicious variety of apples and milked cows. Little did I know I would again return to the valley.

This was the question the apostle Paul asked to a group of believers whom he came across in the countryside. This was a very valid question. Some believers have thought they automatically receive the Holy Spirit baptism upon the confession of their faith in Christ. They have become faithful as followers of Christ with prayer and study of God's word with a genuine desire for the things of God.

I, too, have received this experience described in the Bible, and was excited to know that the "other tongues" were actually words in a language I didn't know "speaking the wonderful works of God" just like in Acts 2.
How happy I am for her, and the others who shared this experience. Their lives will never be the same!! |
