TOPPENISH —A delivery driver resisted an armed robber shortly after 11 p.m. Aug. 13, on the 10 block of South H Street, according to a police report.
Officers who responded to a report of a robbery at that location were told that a Hispanic male about 19 years old had accosted the delivery driver, drew a handgun from his waistband, and grabbed at the driver’s shoulder bag.
The driver, who was also armed, struggled with the would-be thief, and pushed him to the ground, the report said.
After the brief struggle, the suspect reportedly saw the driver’s weapon and fled the scene.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the department at 865-4355.
