TOPPENISH — Susan Treneer has been named the new Toppenish Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.
She officially took over the position Aug. 11, and worked at the Western Art Show during her first weekend on the job.
Treneer came to the valley in 2005 from the Seattle area where she had lived since 1980.
She said her background includes having been a business owner and she has served as the project manager on technical projects.
She also said she has oversee a number of catering events, and has worked with non-profit organizations.
More recently, she managed Bella Terra Gardens at Rosehill, near Buena.
Treneer replaces Sara Frederiksen, who left the position to pursue other opportunities.
