I said it! I’m a bad weather girl and I’m ready for some winter. Bring on the snow, where’s the fog?
The best one I can recall, as I’m sure many of you do too, is the winter of ’96. I remember like it was yesterday. It was Thanksgiving Day and I watched my mom pull up to the house in her white Dodge with great big livestock racks and smile at me though the snowflakes. The first snowfall of the year and it was happening on my very favorite holiday! Later, as the snow began to really start piling up, she drove back to White Swan while she still could.
There was snow on the ground from Thanksgiving to February.
We were living in Harrah at the time and I would watch from my second story bedroom the snow falling into the branches of the tree right outside my window. The sound was something like a soft sizzling, I don’t know how else to describe it. I would sit there for a long time and watch it snow.
